A few weeks ago I got turned on to a great band from Vancouver BC, The Good News. The lead singer reminds me of Craig Finn from The Hold Steady while the music is some solid kick ass pop. Driving songs with super hooky choruses are just a couple of this group’s strengths.

She recently completed a northeastern US tour with a stop at NXNE in Toronto. Check out this video from the tour:

Her studio LP should be coming out very soon….. patience people, patience. It’s gonna be worth it.
